Ildikó Chogyelkáné Babócsy

Head of Department, e-learning expert

I've been the head of the Department of Educational Development and Talent Support at ELTE since the spring of 2024. In addition, as an expert, I focus on educational development in higher education, the pedagogical application of digital learning environments, and supporting the professional development of instructors. Previously, I worked as an e-learning expert at another higher education institute, and I have participated in numerous domestic and international teacher training and continuing education programs as a curriculum developer, mentor, course designer, and trainer.

In my professional work, I take a student-centered, learning-outcome-based approach to course design. I focus particularly on pedagogical solutions that support active learning, the design of assessment and feedback, the creation of online and blended learning environments, the pedagogical application of LMS systems, and the conscious and value-adding use of artificial intelligence in education.
In my work, the needs of educators and everyday teaching situations serve as my starting point. I believe it is important for educational development support to address real-world problems and to generate solutions that are professionally sound while also being realistic and sustainable for educators to implement. I work with educators and teaching communities on a range of projects, from the development of specific courses or solutions to educational challenges to the design of institutional-level programs.

I consider educational development to be, at its core, a collaborative effort. Behind these results are experts, educational developers, staff members specializing in e-learning, training organization, and customer support, communities of educators, and numerous professional partnerships. As a leader, I also believe in an approach based on mutual trust, open professional dialogue, and shared responsibility, regardless of the organizational role we play in a collaboration. I believe it is important to create and maintain a professional environment in which diverse knowledge, perspectives, and experiences can reinforce one another and contribute to the continuous renewal and further improvement of the quality of education at ELTE.

BA

Andrea Berek

training organizer

I graduated from ELTE with a degree in andragogy. The world of learning and education has always been close to my heart. I’ve been working at the university since 2017. I began my career at ELTE as a training coordinator at the Career Center. Among other things, I organized high school graduation exam prep courses, stress management training, and Excel courses, and I was the main organizer of the staff sports week. It felt great to be able to help students get into their desired universities and programs through my work, to support staff in developing their skills and improving their well-being, and to foster community building during Sports Week.

Since January 2025, I have been working in the Department of Educational Development and Talent Support at the Education Directorate. I am involved in the behind-the-scenes work for the EDUFlow Scholarship Program and the Excellence in Higher Education Conference. In the future, I will be organizing self-paced and in-person training programs.

Lídia Fenyvesiné Jászai

methodology expert

As a methodology expert in the Department of Educational Development and Talent Suppöort Development, I can contribute to the achievement of the university’s educational development goals. I would like to build on my previous professional experience to support instructors in their daily work with modern, student-centered teaching methodology solutions. My responsibilities include providing professional support for the development of teaching methodologies, planning and implementing faculty training sessions and consultations, and creating methodological resources, recommendations, and professional content that contribute to high-quality education. I believe that continuous professional development, learning about domestic and international best practices, and the conscious application of digital and blended learning solutions enrich educators’ methodological toolkits in the long term. My goal is to use my work to inspire and support educators in making the teaching and learning experience more engaging, effective, and successful.

Veronika Gráf-Szabó

junior e-learning expert

I have been working in the Department since 2021. In my role, I provide support for the University’s supplementary e-learning platforms (Canvas, MOOC, Moodle) and related applications and tools (Panopto, Wooclap, Powtoon), and I also actively participate in the development of self-paced courses. I am also responsible for editing the Department’s website section, editing multimedia content (drop-in session trainings, conference presentations), as well as organizing our Excellence in Higher Education conference and editing its abstract booklet.

Currently, as a co-project leader within the Digital Competence Center, I am researching the possibilities for developing personalized learning paths in Canvas, but during my studies I also focused on the use of ICT tools, digital pedagogy, and digital humanities.

Teodóra Tóth

 e-learning helpdesk

I joined the Department of Educational Development and Talent Support in the summer of 2026, where my main responsibilities include answering questions received by the helpdesk, providing support related to e-learning platforms via email and online consultations, and, in the case of more complex issues, finding solutions by involving the appropriate colleagues. In addition, during this busy period of the LMS transition, I strive to contribute to the Department’s other tasks as well, so I’m also involved in preparing supporting materials and informational guides, organizing and conducting online training sessions, and handling the administrative and testing processes related to the migration.
As the newest member of the team, I face new professional challenges every day, so I’m confident that, with each passing day, I’ll be able to offer more and more experience to the instructors and students who contact customer service.
